Problem: An Aging Wooden Fence Whose Maintenance Needs Were Growing Over Time

When Superior Fence & Rail of Columbus met with the Club at Tartan Fields HOA members for the initial fence consultation, they expressed how their aging wooden community fence had become tiresome to maintain. Over time, the wood fence required more and more maintenance. The community HOA board and its members ultimate goal was to match the aesthetics of the existing fence while still reducing the maintenance requirements of a replacement fence.

Our consultant listened closely to their needs. We inspected and measured the existing fence line to help devise a solution that checked all the boxes.

Solution: A Vinyl Fence That Delivers Low-Maintenance & High Aesthetic

As a result of the in-depth design consultation, Superior was able to come up with the perfect solution for this community. We suggested replacement of the 2,000 linear feet of wooden picket fence which lined their neighborhood streets, with a custom vinyl fence replacement that would match the existing fence’s profile. Our team took a sample section of the existing fence and custom fabricated the vinyl example. This was machined in-house and presented to the community for their review. Superior Fence & Rail of Columbus was able to work consultatively with the HOA to make slight design adjustments to ensure it met the aesthetic desires of the community. In addition, we also provided a robust project plan which minimized disruption during the construction phases of the project. The finishing touch to the entire project – or Je ne sais quoi – so to speak, was the custom fabricated vinyl fence gate located at the entry point of the community. This feature creates an elegant first impression for all who enter, residents and visitors alike.
